Miami-Dade Fire Rescue to rededicate Fire House #29 in honor of Firefighter Juan Torga |

Miami-Dade Fire Rescue (MDFR) will have a rededication ceremony of Fire Station #29 in honor of Firefighter Juan Torga. The event will take place at 10 a.m. on Thursday, May 20, 2014 at Fire Station #29 located at 351 S.W. 107 Avenue in Sweetwater. Firefighter Torga served more than 20 years of his career at MDFR’s Fire Station #29 sharing his wisdom and guidance with his colleagues. His positive spirit and dedication to the fire service did not wane despite his diminishing health. Firefighter Torga retired after 24-years of devoted service with MDFR at Fire Station #29 exemplifying courage, perseverance, selflessness, and excellence.
